This appointment and clinic charge (£29.00) is for our professional nurse to take blood from your arm. It is applicable to both walk-ins and pre-booked appointments. This charge covers sample collection for all your tests on the day.

Blood tests are not included in this charge. You will need to add the blood tests you require to your shopping basket separately.

HOW TO BOOK YOUR BLOOD TEST AT OUT EDINBURGH CLINIC

The process is simple:

1. Choose a blood test

Pick a test from our comprehensive list, whether that's a single biomarker, for example Calcium, or a panel that tests for multiple body functions (some panels have over 50 biomarkers!). You can also pick tests by specific symptoms or just check a particular body function, such as liver or kidney function.

2. Choose a clinic appointment time

Book an appointment at our Edinburgh Blood Tests clinic. Our phlebotomist will quickly and easily draw blood from your vein. This option is recommended if you prefer a skilled Phlebotomist to take your blood rather than doing this yourself with a finger prick test, or if you require urgent results.

3. Receive your results

Once your blood sample reaches our laboratory, your sample will be processed promptly. 99.2% of the blood samples that our tested in our lab our tested and analysed within 4 hours.

Your results will be delivered in a secure, password-protected PDF file to ensure privacy and confidentiality. You can also access your results through your own online health dashboard which is a more visual way of reviewing your results with easy to understand graphs.

It's important to note that while most tests have a quick turnaround time, certain tests may require additional processing time. Please check the test you want for specific turnaround times.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Our nationwide clinics are open to anyone who prefers to get help with their blood sample, who needs results quickly, or whose chosen tests are recommended as ‘venous only’.

Book your appointment at a convenient day and time to you or you can just walk in on the day. We have same-day appointments to have your blood taken by a professional venipuncture nurse. We can take blood from your vein or by using a finger-prick technique if you prefer or if you have difficult veins, for example.

Depending on the test you have chosen, you will have results back the next day. Some tests require longer time to analyse, so please enquire if your tests are time sensitive.

HOW DO I RECEIVE MY RESULTS?

You have two ways of accessing your results. Firstly, your results will arrive via email, in a password-protected, secure PDF file.

Secondly, you can access your results online through our secure online Health Dashboard tool.
