BOOKING YOUR GP VIDEO CONSULTATION

The process is simple and you can have an appointment in as little as 30 minutes:

1. BOOK YOUR GP APPOINTMENT SLOT

Book a time slot with our GPs using the calendar above.

2. LET US KNOW YOUR MEDICAL HISTORY

Once booked, you will receive a link to provide your medical history and share whatever information you think is relevant. Your results will be uploaded for the GP to see (apart from the Alex Screen, please upload that separately).

3. JOIN THE CALL

Click on the link provided in the confirmation email and connect, it's super simple! There is no software to install.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE APPOINTMENT?

Your GP appointment is 15 minutes. This is an online video call.

During the appointment one of our GPs will answer your questions, prescribe private prescriptions (if appropriate) and go through the health issues you are facing. If you have any questions - you will be able to ask at this stage.

If you require a referral, this will be provided, as well as any prescription medication, if required and appropriate.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE APPOINTMENT?

NO BLOOD TEST? NO PROBLEM!

If you do not have any of One Day Tests blood results - you can still book our GP service.

It is, generally quicker and more informative to have your blood test results available for the GP to see, so we do recommend coming in with a Full Body MOT or a test applicable to your symptoms, however this is not a prerequisite.

We are happy to talk to you about your general symptoms or offer advice, as well as recommend blood tests that you may need.

WHAT ABOUT PRESCRIPTIONS?

We can prescribe the medication you need, if the GP considers it to be appropriate. We will be able to offer a private (non-NHS) prescription. You will be able to get this delivered to your home or picked up at a pharmacy.

We use Signature RX pharmacy as our partners service (GPhC 2211395).

WHAT ABOUT PRESCRIPTIONS?

FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT AND REFERRAL LETTERS.

If any referral letters or any other documentation is required, you can request this during the appointment.

This will be emailed to you and you can then take this to an external hospital.

GP SERVICE EXCLUSIONS

Although you will be speaking with a GP, this is an inherently remote service, online, via a video chat. Therefore there are some exclusions to care that have to be in place, due to the nature of service.

  • EMERGENCY CARE. We do not offer immediate treatment for emergencies like acute chest pains, stroke, trauma or severe infections requiring in-patient care.
  • VACCINATIONS. Administering vaccines requires an in-person visit to a healthcare provider.
  • DENTAL ISSUES. We are not licenced to diagnose or treat any dental issues. For urgent detail issues please either call your dentist or 111 out of hours – see NHS advice.
  • UNDER 18s. We currently only provide services for adults (over age of 18) and ask that people do not book on behalf of their children.
  • CONTROLLED DRUGS/SPECIALIST MEDICATION. Any requests for controlled drugs, opiate-based medications, immunosuppressants or treatments for ADHD are not authorised by our service.  If you wish to go onto our Weight Loss Medication programme, please book that separately. For any other controlled drugs - please see GOV UK website.
  • COVID ANTIVIRAL TREATMENTS. These medications need initiation by specialist teams and necessitate close monitoring. If requiring these medications, please use 111 services

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can your GPs issue prescriptions?

Yes, our GPs can issue prescriptions via our pharmacy partner Signature Rx. Your medication can be delivered to you or issued to a local pharmacy if that is your preference. As these are a private prescription, Signature Rx determines the cost of this and will notify you of the charge before you redeem the prescription. We do not offer repeat prescribing for regular medication and we do not prescribe controlled drugs.

Can your GPs provide referral letters?

Yes, we can provide referral letters that can be used to book appointments with other private providers. You can either take the letter straight to the provider to book your appointment or, if you have private insurance, show the letter to your insurer.

Will you let my NHS GP know about our appointment?

Yes, we usually advise that you allow us to send a summary of our discussion to your NHS GP. To do this we need to have your consent to share the information. If you do not wish us to share this with your NHS GP then you can ask us not to do so.

Can you provide sick notes?

No, we do not provide sick notes. 

Can I register with you for ongoing, long term care?

No, currently we do not have capacity to provide regular care for long term conditions.
