Dr. Adam Staten, Clinical Director

Dr. Adam Staten, Clinical Director

Dr. Adam Staten ensures our offerings are relevant, accurate and clinically valid.

Dr. Staten trained at Cambridge University and King's College London. After serving as a medical officer in the British Army, he returned to the NHS and is now an NHS GP and GP trainer. He has an interest in stress and burnout and has written several books on the subject. He is also the editor of a textbook used by GPs and family physicians all around the world.

Dr Staten is a firm believer in empowering patients to manage their own health and sees educating people about common health problems as the best way to achieve this.

Dr. Mistry is part of our team of brilliant GPs and brings a wealth of clinical knowledge and experience to the team. 

Dr. Mistry trained at the University of Birmingham and has worked in both the UK and Australia. He currently works as a GP at a busy NHS practice. He is interested in medical education and is a GP trainer. He has previously been the Clinical Director of a large Primary Care Network. 

Dr Mistry is passionate about enhancing care for people by promoting healthy living and through patient education. Dr. Mistry's particular interests lie in lifestyle medicine, where he brings a tremendous amount of expertise to our panels such as the Healthy Lifestyle Blood Test and the general interpretation of lifestyle-related biomarkers.

Dr Mike Forsythe is a GP and a sports doctor.

Mike trained at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical school and has worked in the UK and Australia.

He works in professional and amateur sport and has a particular interest in diagnosis and management of concussion. He is passionate about medical education, both in training fellow medical professionals and in empowering patients to take ownership of their health and wellbeing.

Dr. Forsythe brings considerable expertise to our panels such as the Ultimate Performance Blood Test and the general interpretation of lifestyle-related biomarkers.

Sandeep Patel, Laboratory Director

Sandeep has the overall responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the laboratory results that we provide as well as the regulatory aspect of the service.

Sandeep is in charge of upholding ISO 15189 laboratory standards and quality controls, as well as External Quality Assurance schemes that our laboratories strictly adhere to.

Sandeep has over 20 years experience in Senior BMS and Director roles within both the NHS and private healthcare.

As our Laboratory Director, Sandeep has the overall responsibility for your results and ensures that your blood tests follow a structure path of accuracy and quality.

Yuri Fadeev, Chief Technical Officer and CEO

Yuri is the Care Quality Commission registered manager for the diagnostics and screening service we provide and looks after all of the umbrella companies involved in onedaytests.com, as well as the technical aspects of the company.

Hailing from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, Yuri is a firm believer in bringing proven cutting edge engineering to the diagnostics and screening service.

He brings huge regulated industries experience to the team and makes sure that the company provides great service to our private and business customers.

Yuri's interests lie primarily in the technical aspects of a laboratory data systems integration, machine learning as well as hardware solutions for streamlining performance of our analyser machines.

Stefania Brown, Laboratory Manager

Our day-to-day laboratory operations are under the care of Stefania Brown, who makes sure your results are received ASAP and the lab functions at it's maximum efficiency at all times.

There are a lot of moving parts to making a successful laboratory run smoothly and your samples are in safe hands at all times.

Stefania brings a wealth of experience from the NHS sector, having worked in virology department at the St Peters Hospital in Surrey, as well as leading private laboratories.

Prior to that Stefania was awarded a BSc degree in Applied Biomedical Science from the University of Greenwich.

Lana Nela, Lead Nurse Consultant

Lana Nela, Lead Nurse Consultant

Lana brings to out company over 20 years of NHS front line experience in the Emergency and Ambulance departments and is in charge of phlebotomy clinics here at One Day Tests.

Previously, Lana has worked as a Head Nurse in the Royal Sussex County Hospital as well as at the University College London Hospital.

She is currently completing her Advanced Clinical Practitioner studies in the Emergency department at Eastbourne General Hospital.

Lana is an experienced senior resuscitation and simulation practitioner with huge acute care experience and blood tests extraordinaire. Skilled in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Medical Simulation, ALS and APLS.

Lana's strong interest in application of Artificial Intelligence in Medical Education and Emergency Care brings huge experience in this field to our team.

Jamila Quaye, Senior Clinical Pathologist

Multidisciplinary-trained BMS with extensive knowledge in Haematology and Blood Transfusion.

Jamila has over ten years’ experience working in diagnostic Blood Science laboratories in different healthcare settings ranging from small private hospitals to large NHS hospitals serving a diverse patient population.

Jamila's special interests lie in blood morphology and specialist techniques such as HPLC and flow cytometry.

In charge of all of our logistical operations and finance, Yulia makes sure that the company runs like clockwork. We pride ourselves in running all of our services in-house.

This way we are directly responsible for the quality of service and Yulia makes sure that we stand up to that responsibility to our private and business customers.

Yulia brings a wealth of financial management experience. Prior to joining our team Yulia excelled in large financial institutions such as American Express as well as having run private companies and training centres within the highly regulated maritime industry, adhering to the strict UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency regulations.

In her earlier career she was a talented financial journalist at the BBC in London with special interests in politics and economics.

Shaz Kolsi, Commercial Director

Shaz Kolsi, Commercial Director

Shaz is responsible for planning, developing and implementing commercial strategies to support the growth and expansion of our business, as well as making sure that our existing clients are receiving the best laboratory and logistics services possible.

This means really understanding the market, developing what it truly means to be a provider of blood testing services.   

A key focus of her role in particular is on building our fantastic B2B offering and developing our long term partnerships with business across a wide range of industries.

Emma is an integral part of our Customer Service Help Desk, supporting customers with their questions and processing orders.

Communication with our customers is key and Emma is part of the process in implementing our communication channels to ensure customers are fully informed before, during and after they have their blood taken.

Emma is not only an experienced customer service advisor but also a fully qualified Phlebotomist.

Andy has the responsibility for all things marketing within the business.

This includes the planning, developing and implementing of marketing strategies and activity to grow the awareness of the services we offer to both customers and business partners.

This includes having a clear identity in the market so customers fully understand and trust the benefits they can receive by using us for their blood testing requirements.

Andy has over 15 years experience in marketing roles covering a wide range of industries.

Tatyana Douglas, Senior Phlebotomist/Head of Training

Tatyana Douglas, Senior Phlebotomist/Head of Training

Tatyana, is our Senior Phlebotomists here at One Day Tests, predominantly based at our Crawley clinic.

Additional responsibilities include heading up our training of all our new Phlebotomists and managing the home testing kits sent out to customers.

Tatyana has over nine years of experience as a Phlebotomists, three of these at the Queen Victoria NHS hospital and four years in primary care.

Dominika Mikulska-Bogumil, Phlebotomist & Marketing Assistant

Dominika Mikulska-Bogumil, Phlebotomist & Marketing Assistant

Dominika is an experienced phlebotomist and health care assistant, managing our Hove clinic.

Dominika's empathic and compassionate approach has guided hundreds of customers through their blood testing journey in Hove.

In addition to her Phlebotomy role, Dominika also supports the Marketing team in spreading the awareness of our service in Hove and our wider clinic locations.
