ZINC BLOOD TEST
Zinc deficiency can lead to symptoms such as hair loss, poor wound healing, weakened immunity, skin issues, and growth delays in children. It is commonly seen in people with malnutrition, chronic gastrointestinal conditions (like Crohn's disease), or those on certain medications.
Zinc toxicity, although rare, can occur with excessive supplementation and may cause nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and, over time, interfere with the absorption of other essential minerals like copper.
Zinc is also one of the biomarkers that is monitored for prevention of hair loss.
This test helps diagnose and monitor these conditions, ensuring that zinc levels are within a healthy range for optimal functioning.
