WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE ONE DAY TESTS FOR BLOOD TESTS IN SOUTH KENSINGTON

The clinic is a one minute walk from Gloucester Road Tube station, so it fits easily into a normal day. Once you are in, our experienced medical team keeps the visit comfortable and stress-free, and we pride ourselves on a rapid turnaround, with many results available the same day.

Having said that, you will want to know the tests themselves hold up. They match the ones your GP would order, and they are processed in the same fully regulated diagnostic laboratories. Every biomarker explanation is prepared by our in-house UK GPs, each with years of clinical experience. If you are not sure what you need, email hello@onedaytests.com and chat to a human.

For anyone who likes to see the credentials, here they are.

  • Regulated - Our pathology laboratory and phlebotomy clinics are CQC registered. Our parent company, Sussex Pathology Limited, holds certificate number 1-14470761199.
  • Quality checked - Every test undergoes rigorous external quality assessment, and our home test kits are MHRA/CE certified.
  • Scale - We test over 100,000 biomarkers every month in our laboratory.

BLOOD TESTS AVAILABLE AT OUR SOUTH KENSINGTON CLINIC

Our modern, fully equipped South Kensington clinic covers routine and specialised testing, with over 300 biomarkers to choose from. You can test one marker, such as calcium or oestradiol, or order a comprehensive panel that tests many biomarkers at once, some with more than 50. You can also start from a symptom, or check a body function such as liver or kidney function.

So with the single tests covered, what about the ready-made panels? The ones people reach for most are the Full Blood Count, the Cholesterol Test and our popular Essential All Systems Blood Test. The most popular test in our whole range is the Ultimate Performance Test, with 59 biomarkers, and the largest is the Ultimate Longevity Test at 74.

Our phlebotomist takes the sample from a vein, or from a capillary if you prefer. Some tests are marked venous only, which is one reason to visit the clinic rather than test at home. Here is a selection of other tests available at South Kensington, with biomarker counts and usual turnaround.

HOW IT WORKS

The process is simple. Here is what a visit to South Kensington looks like.

  1. Choose a blood test - Pick a single biomarker, a comprehensive panel, or a test matched to a symptom or body function. The Quick Finder helps if you are unsure.
  2. Book, or walk in - Book an appointment at a time that suits you, or simply walk in for same-day testing. The clinic is open Monday to Friday, 8 am to 2.30 pm. The £35 clinic charge applies to walk-ins and bookings alike, and it covers sample collection for all your tests on the day.
  3. Come to Stanhope Mews West - The clinic is at 24 Stanhope Mews West, London, SW7 5RB (view map), a one minute walk from Gloucester Road Tube station. Please note the clinic does not have disabled access. A qualified venipuncture nurse takes your blood from a vein, or by finger-prick if you prefer or have difficult veins. Children aged 5 to 16 can be tested with a GP private referral letter (details here).
  4. Receive your results - Your results arrive by email as a secure, password-protected PDF, usually the same day your sample reaches our lab or the next day. Some specialist tests take a little longer, so contact us first if your results are time-sensitive. You can print them to share with your GP, and you get complimentary access to the Health Dashboard, where you can see your results as graphs, read the commentary on each biomarker and track changes over time.

BOOKING YOUR BLOOD TEST IN SOUTH KENSINGTON

Open our South Kensington clinic page, pick a date and time, and confirm with your phone number. If you would rather just drop in, walk in Monday to Friday between 8 am and 2.30 pm for same-day testing.

The £35 appointment and clinic charge covers sample collection for all the tests you have on the day. Blood tests are not included in that charge, so add the ones you want to your basket separately. If you plan to test regularly, a subscription gives you discounts on future tests, at a frequency of your choice, with the option to pause or restart.

If you need a custom panel, or you are not sure what you need, email hello@onedaytests.com and chat to a human. We run our own laboratory and can build any panel you like.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about our clinic.

Can I walk in to the South Kensington clinic?

Yes. You can book an appointment or simply walk in for same-day testing, Monday to Friday between 8 am and 2.30 pm. A qualified venipuncture nurse takes your sample, and the £35 clinic charge is the same whether you walk in or book ahead.

How much is a blood test at South Kensington?

You pay the £35 clinic charge plus the price of the tests you choose. The charge covers the phlebotomist taking your sample for all your tests on the day. Prices are shown on each test page. As a guide, here are three examples.

Can I test at home instead of visiting the clinic?

Yes. If you would rather not come in, we offer a home sample collection kit, which is UK MHRA approved. However tests marked venous only need a sample taken from a vein at the clinic, and the clinic is the better choice if you need your results quickly.

Can I book my own tests without a GP?

Yes. No GP referral is required. Choose the tests you want on our website, then pick a date and time on the South Kensington clinic page and confirm with your phone number, or walk in. The one exception is children aged 5 to 16, who need a GP private referral letter.
