Many people think a blood test result is just a list of numbers. At our Reading clinic on Castle Street, your results arrive as a PDF and also appear on a Health Dashboard, where each biomarker comes with commentary, sits against a reference range, and is explained if it falls outside that range. You can book or walk in, no GP referral is needed, and many results are available the same day.

Come and visit us at the Reading clinic for quick turnaround test results.
Our Reading clinic, like our clinics across the UK, welcomes anyone who prefers professional assistance with their blood sample, needs fast results, or has tests designated as venous only. Our experienced medical team keeps the visit comfortable and stress-free, and our state-of-the-art laboratory and phlebotomy facilities let us deliver diagnostic testing to the highest medical standards.
Having said that, you will want to know the results hold up. Our extensive range of tests matches those offered by your GP, and they are processed in the same fully regulated diagnostic laboratories. All biomarker explanations are prepared by our in-house UK GPs, each with years of clinical experience. If you are not sure what you need, get in touch, give us a call and speak to a human, or email [email protected].
For anyone who likes to see the credentials, here they are.
Our modern, fully equipped Reading clinic covers routine and specialised testing, with over 300 biomarkers to choose from. You can test specific biomarkers, such as calcium or oestradiol, or order a comprehensive panel that tests many biomarkers at once, some with more than 50. You can also pick tests by symptom, or check a body function such as liver or kidney function.
The pre-designed panels people choose most are the Full Blood Count, the Diabetes (HbA1c) Test, the Cholesterol Test and our popular Essential All Systems Blood Test. The most popular test across the whole range is the Ultimate Performance Test at 59 biomarkers, and the largest is the Ultimate Longevity Test at 74.
As you can imagine, the sample type matters. A qualified phlebotomist takes your blood from a vein, or from a capillary if you prefer, and the clinic is the ideal option if you would like professional assistance, your tests are marked venous only, or you need your results quickly. Here is a selection of other tests available at Reading, with biomarker counts and usual turnaround.

The process is simple. Here is how a visit to Reading goes.
Open our Reading clinic page, pick a date and time, and you are booked. Adding a mobile number is optional, and we only use it if your appointment changes, never for marketing. If you would rather not plan ahead, drop in Monday to Friday between 8 am and 2.45 pm.
The £35 appointment and clinic charge covers sample collection for all the tests you have on the day. Blood tests are not included in that charge, so add the ones you want to your basket separately. If you plan to test regularly, a subscription gives you discounts on future tests, with home kits or clinic appointments at a frequency of your choice and the option to pause or restart.
If you need a custom panel, or you have a question before booking, get in touch or email [email protected]. We run our own laboratory and can build any panel you like.

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about our clinic.
You pay the £35 clinic charge plus the price of the tests you choose. The charge covers the phlebotomist taking your sample for all your tests on the day. Prices are shown on each test page. As a guide, here are three examples.
Yes. No GP referral is required. Choose the tests you want on our website, then pick a date and time on the Reading clinic page, or simply walk in for same-day testing. The one exception is children aged 5 to 16, who need a GP private referral letter.
Yes. If a visit does not suit you, we offer a home sample collection kit, which is UK MHRA approved. However tests marked venous only need a sample taken from a vein at the clinic, and the clinic is the better choice if you need your results quickly.
Every result comes with help in reading it. Your Health Dashboard shows each biomarker with commentary, how it falls within our laboratory reference ranges, and what it may mean if it falls outside them. You can also print your results and share them with your GP or healthcare provider for further consultation.
