WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE ONE DAY TESTS FOR BLOOD TESTS IN NORTHAMPTON

Our Northampton clinic, along with our locations across the UK, is open to anyone who would prefer professional support with sample collection, needs quick results, or has tests that can only be taken from a vein. Our experienced clinical team makes the visit comfortable and stress-free, and our state-of-the-art phlebotomy and laboratory facilities help us deliver testing to the highest medical standards.

Having said that, you will want to know the results are dependable. We offer an extensive selection of tests comparable to those available through your GP, processed by the same type of fully regulated diagnostic laboratories, and all biomarker guidance is written by our in-house UK GPs, each with years of clinical experience. If you want to talk it through first, call 0127 309 2844 and speak to a human.

For anyone who likes to see the credentials, here they are.

  • Regulated - Our pathology laboratory and phlebotomy clinics are CQC registered. Our parent company, Sussex Pathology Limited, holds certificate number 1-14470761199.
  • Quality checked - Every test is subject to robust external quality assessment, and our home test kits are MHRA/CE certified.
  • Scale - We test over 100,000 biomarkers every month in our laboratory.

BLOOD TESTS AVAILABLE AT OUR NORTHAMPTON CLINIC

Our fully equipped Northampton clinic covers routine and specialist testing, with over 300 biomarkers to choose from. You can test specific biomarkers, such as calcium or oestradiol, or order a comprehensive panel that tests many biomarkers at once, some with more than 50. You can also pick tests by symptom, or check a body function such as liver or kidney function.

The ready-made panels people choose most are the Full Blood Count, panels for diabetes and cholesterol, and our popular Essential All Systems Blood Test. The most popular test across the whole range is the Ultimate Performance Test at 59 biomarkers, and the largest is the Ultimate Longevity Test at 74.

As you can imagine, the way the sample is taken depends on the test. A qualified phlebotomist collects it by venous draw, or by finger-prick (capillary) if you prefer and the test allows. The clinic is a good choice if you want expert support with sample collection, your tests need a venous sample, or you need fast results. Here is a selection of other tests available at Northampton, with biomarker counts and usual turnaround.

HOW IT WORKS

The process is simple. Here is how a visit to Northampton goes.

  1. Choose a blood test - Pick a single biomarker, a comprehensive panel, or a test matched to a symptom or body function. The Quick Finder helps if you are unsure.
  2. Book in minutes, or drop in - Book an appointment at a time that suits you, or drop in for same-day testing. The clinic is open Monday to Friday, 8 am to 2 pm. The £35 clinic charge applies to walk-ins and bookings alike, and it covers sample collection for all your tests on the day.
  3. Find us at Sol Central - The clinic is inside Elite Physio Clinics at Sol Central, Unit 3, Northampton, NN1 1SR (view map). It sits outside the main Sol Central complex, down the side of the building next to Manna Food Corner. You can park in the Sol Central car park for up to two hours free; enter your vehicle registration on the tablet in the clinic hallway when you arrive. A qualified venepuncture nurse takes your sample from a vein, or by finger-prick where suitable if you prefer or have difficult veins. Children aged 5 to 16 can be tested with a GP private referral letter (details here).
  4. Receive your results - Your results arrive by email as a secure, password-protected PDF, usually the same day your sample reaches our lab or the next day. Some specialist tests take a little longer, so get in touch first if your results are time-sensitive. You can print your results to share with your GP, and you get complimentary access to the Health Dashboard, where you can see your results as graphs, read the commentary on each biomarker and see how it sits against the reference range.

BOOKING YOUR BLOOD TEST IN NORTHAMPTON

Open our Northampton clinic page, pick a date and time, and you are booked. Adding a mobile number is optional, and we only use it if your appointment changes, never for marketing. If you would rather not plan ahead, drop in Monday to Friday between 8 am and 2 pm.

The £35 appointment and clinic charge covers sample collection for all the tests you have on the day. Blood tests are not included in that charge, so add the ones you want to your basket separately. If you plan to test regularly, a subscription gives you discounts on future tests, with home kits or clinic appointments at a frequency of your choice and the option to pause or restart.

If you need a custom panel, or you have a question before booking, call us on 0127 309 2844 or email [email protected]. We run our own laboratory and can build any panel you like.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about our clinic.

Where in Northampton is the clinic?

At Sol Central, Unit 3, Northampton, NN1 1SR, inside Elite Physio Clinics. The clinic is outside the main Sol Central complex, down the side of the building next to Manna Food Corner. You can park in the Sol Central car park for up to two hours free by entering your registration on the tablet in the clinic hallway. We are open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 2 pm.

How much is a private blood test at Northampton?

You pay the £35 clinic charge plus the price of the tests you choose. The charge covers the phlebotomist taking your sample for all your tests on the day. Prices are shown on each test page. As a guide, here are three examples.

Can I test at home instead of visiting the clinic?

Yes. If a visit does not suit you, we offer home sample collection kits, which are UK MHRA approved. However tests that can only be taken from a vein need a visit to the clinic, and the clinic is the better choice if you need quick results.

How do I book a blood test in Northampton?

Choose your tests on our website, then pick a date and time on the Northampton clinic page. Booking takes minutes, and no GP referral is needed. If you would rather not book, drop in during opening hours for same-day testing. Children aged 5 to 16 need a GP private referral letter.
