GETTING A PRIVATE BLOOD TEST IN MILTON KEYNES

Everything you need to know about the costs, walk-in clinic options and what to expect from your blood test.

Many people put off a blood test because they are not fond of needles. At our Milton Keynes clinic, our nurses can use a finger-prick method if you have difficult veins or would rather avoid a needle in the arm, and we make a point of keeping the environment calm and comfortable for anyone who feels anxious. You can book or walk in, no GP referral is needed, and rapid results are available the same day or the next.

You're probably wondering what it costs, where the clinic is and how the visit works. This page covers:

  • The £35 clinic charge and what the tests cost on top
  • Where we are at Fortuna House, where to park and how to walk in or book
  • The questions we are asked most often

If you already know which test you need, book your Milton Keynes appointment now.

WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE ONE DAY TESTS FOR BLOOD TESTS IN MILTON KEYNES

Our Milton Keynes clinic is open to all. Our venipuncture nurses are skilled in traditional blood collection, and they can also do finger-prick tests for people with difficult veins or anyone who is not keen on needles. It matters to us that the visit feels calm and comfortable, especially if you are anxious about it, and our experienced professionals look after you throughout.

Having said that, comfort is only half of it. Behind the clinic is a cutting-edge laboratory that adheres to the highest medical standards, which is how we can guarantee quick and accurate diagnostic results. The tests are the same ones your GP orders, without a referral, and the laboratory processes over 100,000 biomarkers every month. If you want to talk through your options, get in touch or email [email protected].

For anyone who likes to see the credentials, here they are.

  • Verified - Our state-of-the-art laboratory is CQC regulated and EQA verified, and our home test kit is CE/MHRA marked.
  • Trusted - We are trusted to do more than 100,000 tests and consultations every month.

HOW IT WORKS

Planning ahead is simple. Here is how a visit to Milton Keynes goes.

  1. Pick your blood test - Choose an individual biomarker or a comprehensive profile, or pick by symptom or body function. The Quick Finder helps if you are unsure.
  2. Book, or walk in - Make an advance booking online, or use the walk-in service at your convenience. The clinic is open Monday to Friday, 8 am to 3.30 pm. The £35 clinic charge applies to walk-ins and bookings alike, and it covers sample collection for all your tests on the day.
  3. Come to Fortuna House - The clinic is at Fortuna House, 651 S Fifth St, Milton Keynes, MK9 2PQ (view map), and it has disabled access. The car park is on S Sixth Street. A skilled phlebotomist collects your sample by venipuncture, or by finger-prick if you have difficult veins or would rather avoid a needle. Children aged 5 to 16 can be tested with a GP private referral letter (details here).
  4. Receive your results - Your results arrive by email as a secure, password-protected PDF, generally the same day or the next day after your sample reaches our lab. If you subscribe, you also get automatic and unlimited access to the Health Dashboard, which tracks results from over 300 biomarkers and shows you trends and patterns over time.

BOOKING YOUR BLOOD TEST IN MILTON KEYNES

Open our Milton Keynes clinic page, pick a date and time, and you are booked. Adding a mobile number is optional, and we only use it if your appointment changes, never for marketing. If you would rather not plan ahead, use the walk-in service Monday to Friday between 8 am and 3.30 pm.

The £35 appointment and clinic charge covers sample collection for all the tests you have on the day. Blood tests are not included in that charge, so add the ones you want to your basket separately. If you plan to test regularly, a subscription gives you reduced rates on future tests and continuous tracking through the Health Dashboard, with flexible options and no minimum requirement.

If you want a custom panel, or you have a question before booking, contact us here or email [email protected]. We can help you build a panel tailored to your needs.
