Many people assume a blood test clinic only opens on weekdays. Our Hove clinic on Salisbury Road is open Monday to Friday and on Saturday mornings too. You can book online or walk in, no GP referral is needed, and results are usually back the same day your sample reaches our lab.
You're probably wondering what it costs, when to come in and what happens on the day. This page covers:
No scare tactics here, just clear answers. If you already know which test you need, book your Hove appointment now.
Come and visit us at the Hove clinic for quick turnaround test results.
This is home ground for us. Our parent company, Sussex Pathology Limited, is based in Brighton, and the Hove clinic runs on the same principle as the rest of our network: you can book any test the laboratory offers, at any time, without a GP referral. They are the same tests your GP would order, run in the same regulated diagnostics laboratory, and we aim to process most of them on the same day they reach the lab.
So with the tests themselves out of the way, what about the people? Our experienced medical professionals keep the visit comfortable and stress-free, and every biomarker explanation you receive is provided by our in-house UK GPs. If you are unsure what you need, give us a call and speak to a human, or email hello@onedaytests.com.
For anyone who likes to see the credentials, here they are.
Our Hove clinic carries out a wide range of blood tests, with over 300 biomarkers to choose from. You can test a single biomarker, such as calcium or oestradiol, or order a comprehensive panel, some of which cover more than 50 biomarkers. You can also pick by symptom, or check one body function, such as liver or kidney function.
The ready-made panels people choose most are the Full Blood Count, panels for diabetes and cholesterol, and the always-popular Essential All Systems Blood Test. For the widest view in one visit, the Ultimate Performance Test is the most popular test in our range at 59 biomarkers, and the Ultimate Longevity Test is the largest at 74.
Having said that, how the sample is taken matters too. Our phlebotomist takes blood from a vein, or from a capillary if you prefer. A clinic visit is the right choice if you would like help getting the sample, your tests are recommended as venous only, or you need the results in a hurry. Here is a selection of other tests available at Hove, with biomarker counts and usual turnaround.

The process is simple. Here is how a visit to Hove goes.
Open our Hove clinic page, pick a date and time, and you are booked. We ask for a mobile number so we can reach you if your appointment changes, never for marketing, and you can skip it if you prefer. If you would rather not plan ahead, walk in Monday to Friday between 8 am and 3 pm, or Saturday between 8 am and 1.30 pm.
The £35 appointment and clinic charge covers sample collection for all the tests you have on the day. Blood tests are not included in that charge, so add the ones you want to your basket separately. If you plan to test regularly, a subscription gives you a discount on future tests, with home kits or clinic appointments at your chosen frequency, no minimum number of tests, and the option to cancel, pause or restart at any time.
If you need a custom panel, or you are not sure which test you need, get in touch or email hello@onedaytests.com. We run our own laboratory and can build any panel you like.

Yes. If a visit does not suit you, we offer a home sample collection kit, which is UK MHRA approved. However tests recommended as venous only need a sample taken from a vein at the clinic, and the clinic is the better choice if you need results in a hurry.
