We are committed to rapid and reliable blood testing for the Birmingham community, and that commitment runs through every step, from sample collection to result delivery. We strictly adhere to Care Quality Commission regulations and BSI/ISO 15189 standards, and we continuously monitor our testing equipment and procedures. On top of that, we take part in the nationwide BioRad EQA scheme, which adds an extra layer of validation to your results.
Having said that, standards are only part of the picture. You get the same tests your GP orders, without a referral, and our service is built around convenience and efficiency. We run our own laboratory, so we can create any panel you require. If you want to talk it through, give us a call and speak directly to one of the team via our contact page, or email [email protected].
For anyone who likes to see the credentials, here they are.
Our Birmingham clinic offers an extensive array of blood tests, with over 300 biomarkers to choose from. You can select a single biomarker or a comprehensive panel, some of which include over 50 biomarkers. You can also choose tests based on symptoms, or focus on a specific body function such as liver or kidney function, and the Quick Finder helps you identify the ideal test for your needs.
The panels people choose most include the Full Blood Count, the Ultimate Performance Blood Test, which is the most popular test in our range and covers 59 biomarkers, and our comprehensive Ultimate Longevity Blood Test, the largest we do at 74. For a basic MOT, the Essential All Systems Blood Test covers a full blood count, kidney and liver function, electrolytes and CRP.
So with the full-body panels covered, what about hormones and vitamins? If you need help with the sample, or your tests require a venous sample, our phlebotomist draws blood from your vein, which is the ideal route for urgent results or tests specified as "venous only". If you prefer capillary sampling, we can accommodate that. Here is a selection of the hormone and vitamin tests available at Birmingham, with biomarker counts and usual turnaround.
ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE TESTThis is the most popular test in our range. An ultimate blood screen that reports on a huge panel of 59 different biomarkers, for a detailed overview of your body. Suitable for men and women of all ages. The process is simple. Here is how a visit to Birmingham goes.
Open our Birmingham clinic page, pick a date and time, and you are booked. Adding a mobile number is optional, and we only use it if your appointment changes, never for marketing. If you would rather not plan ahead, walk in Monday to Friday between 8 am and 2 pm.
The £35 appointment and clinic charge covers sample collection for all the tests you have on the day. Blood tests are not included in that charge, so add the ones you want to your basket separately. If you want to keep monitoring over time, subscribing gives you access to the Health Dashboard, with trends across your results and clear, detailed information to support your health decisions.
If you need a custom panel, or you want more information before booking, give us a call via our contact page or email [email protected]. With our own laboratory we can create any panel you require.

Yes. If a visit does not suit you, we offer home sample collection kits, which are UK MHRA approved. However tests specified as "venous only" need a sample taken from a vein at the clinic, and the clinic is the better choice if you need urgent results.
Yes. No GP referral is needed, and the tests are the same ones your GP orders. Choose the tests you want on our website, then book an appointment or walk in, and a professional venipuncture nurse takes your sample. The one exception is children aged 5 to 16, who need a GP private referral letter.
