Many people assume a clinic inside a big business building means lifts, corridors and a long walk. At our Sheffield clinic in the ACERO building on Concourse Way, everything is on the ground floor, with no lifts or stairs. You walk through the door next to the lifts in reception, cross the hallway to office G01B, and you are there. You can book ahead or walk in, no GP referral is needed, and most results are back the very next day.
You're probably wondering what it costs, how to find the right building and where to park. This page covers:

We are here to serve the Sheffield community, and whatever your reason for testing, a family history of illness, a chronic condition, a specific diet or training plan or a general health check, we make the process as smooth and comfortable as possible. Behind that sits rapid, reliable and regulated testing. We operate in full compliance with Care Quality Commission regulations and BSI/ISO 15189 standards, with continuous monitoring of our equipment and processes, and our participation in the nationwide BioRad EQA scheme adds an independent layer of validation to every result.
Having said that, standards are only part of the picture. You get the same tests your GP orders, without a referral. We handle custom panel requests regularly, and thanks to our in-house laboratory we can put together whatever you need, built to your exact specifications. If you want to talk it through, send us a message or email [email protected].
For anyone who likes to see the credentials, here they are.
Our Sheffield clinic offers a wide range of blood tests, with over 300 biomarkers to choose from. You can choose a single biomarker test or one of our panels, some covering more than 50 biomarkers. You can also select tests based on specific symptoms, or target a particular area of health, such as liver or kidney function.
Popular choices include the Full Blood Count, the Cortisol Test and our comprehensive Ultimate Performance Blood Test, which is the most popular test in our range and covers 59 biomarkers. The largest is the Ultimate Longevity Test at 74. If you are not sure where to start, the Quick Finder helps you identify the right test, or you can browse the full list.
As you can imagine, the sample type depends on the test. If your test requires a venous blood draw, our phlebotomist takes care of it quickly and comfortably, and that is the ideal choice for urgent results or tests marked "venous only". If you prefer capillary sampling, we can arrange that too. Here is a selection of other tests available at Sheffield, with biomarker counts and usual turnaround.

The process is simple. Here is how a visit to Sheffield goes.
Open our Sheffield clinic page, pick a date and time, and you are booked. Adding a mobile number is optional, and we only use it if your appointment changes, never for marketing. If you would rather not plan ahead, walk in Monday to Friday between 8 am and 3 pm.
The £35 appointment and clinic charge covers sample collection for all the tests you have on the day. Blood tests are not included in that charge, so add the ones you want to your basket separately. If you plan to test regularly, our subscription plans give you reduced rates on every future test, with no minimums and no restrictions. You can use home kits, book clinic appointments, or mix and match, and your results flow automatically to your Health Dashboard.
If you need a custom panel, or help choosing the right tests, send us a message or email [email protected]. Our in-house laboratory can build it to your exact specifications.

Yes. If a visit does not suit you, we offer home sample collection kits, which are UK MHRA approved. However tests marked "venous only" need a venous blood draw at the clinic, and the clinic is the ideal choice if you need urgent results.
Look for the middle block of the metal and glass business buildings, called ACERO, next to Ventana House, with a large letter A in the window. From the ground floor reception, go through the door next to the lifts and across the hallway to office G01B. Everything is on the ground floor, with no lifts or stairs. The clinic is open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 3 pm, and you can park at The Old Queens Head (S1 2BG), 100 Pond Street (S1 1AA) or the Ponds Forge International Sports Centre car park.
Yes. No GP referral is needed, ever, and the tests are the same ones your GP orders. Choose the tests you want on our website, then book a time or simply walk in, and our professional venipuncture nurse takes your sample. The one exception is children aged 5 to 16, who need a GP private referral letter.
