BLOOD TESTS AVAILABLE AT OUR PLYMOUTH CLINIC

Our Plymouth clinic provides a wide selection of standard and specialised blood tests, with over 300 biomarkers to choose from. You can order a comprehensive panel or a single biomarker test, and browsing is easy: use the A-Z list, the categorised collections, the symptom search or the Quick Finder to find the test best suited to you.

The most popular test in our range is the Ultimate Performance Test, a blood screen covering 59 biomarkers including micronutrients and vitamins, thyroid, hormones, organ function and cholesterol. The largest is the Ultimate Longevity Test at 74. For a basic MOT, the Essential All Systems Blood Test covers a full blood count, kidney and liver function, electrolytes and CRP.

As you can imagine, the sample depends on the test. Our phlebotomists collect it by venipuncture or a capillary method, based on your preference or the test specifications. Here is a selection of other tests available at Plymouth, with biomarker counts and usual turnaround.

HOW IT WORKS

The process is simple. Here is how a visit to Plymouth goes.

  1. Browse and choose your test - Pick a comprehensive panel or a single biomarker test. The A-Z list, the categorised collections, the symptom search and the Quick Finder all help you find the right one.
  2. Book, or walk in - Use the booking system to pick a date and time, or take advantage of the walk-in service. The clinic is open Monday to Friday, 8 am to 2 pm. The £35 clinic charge applies to walk-ins and bookings alike, and it covers sample collection for all your tests on the day.
  3. Come to Mayflower Street - The clinic is at the Eden Clinic, 23 Mayflower Street, Plymouth, PL1 1QJ (view map), and it has disabled access. The nearest car park is Mayflower East Car Park (PL1 1QJ), located behind the clinic. An expert venipuncture nurse takes your sample using the traditional method, or by finger-prick if you have challenging veins. Children aged 5 to 16 can be tested with a GP private referral letter (details here).
  4. Receive your results - Your results are emailed to you securely the same day or the following day after your sample reaches our lab. They also appear on the Health Dashboard, organised into lab files, biomarkers, test panels and laboratory reports, which are the actual documents we receive from our laboratories. Each biomarker comes with commentary, you can see how it compares with the reference ranges, and you can track your results over time.

BOOKING YOUR BLOOD TEST IN PLYMOUTH

Open our Plymouth clinic page, pick a date and time, and you are booked. Adding a mobile number is optional, and we only use it if your appointment changes, never for marketing. If you would rather not plan ahead, walk in Monday to Friday between 8 am and 2 pm.

The £35 appointment and clinic charge covers sample collection for all the tests you have on the day. Blood tests are not included in that charge, so add the ones you want to your basket separately. If you plan to test regularly, a subscription gives you a discount on future tests, with home kits or clinic appointments at your chosen frequency, automatic updates to your Health Dashboard, no minimum number of tests, and the option to cancel, pause or restart at any time.

If you need a bespoke panel, or advice on which tests suit your situation, reach our support team here or email [email protected].
