BLOOD TESTS AVAILABLE AT OUR NEWCASTLE CLINIC

Our Newcastle clinic offers a wide selection of blood tests. You can select a single test for one biomarker, or opt for a comprehensive panel, some of which include over 60 biomarkers. The largest is the Ultimate Longevity Test at 74. For a basic MOT, the Essential All Systems Blood Test covers a full blood count, kidney and liver function, electrolytes and CRP.

As you can imagine, the sample type depends on the test. If you need help with sample collection, or your tests require a venous sample, our phlebotomist quickly and easily draws blood from your vein, which is the best option for urgent results or tests labelled "venous only". HOW IT WORKS

The process is simple. Here is how a visit to Newcastle goes.

  1. Choose a blood test - Pick a single biomarker test or a comprehensive panel, or choose by symptom or body function such as liver or kidney health.
  2. Book, or drop in - Schedule a time that is convenient for you, or simply drop in. The clinic is open Monday to Friday, 8 am to 2 pm. The £35 clinic charge applies to walk-ins and bookings alike, and it covers sample collection for all your tests on the day.
  3. Find us at Blandford Square - The clinic is at 14 Blandford Square, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4HZ (view map), with parking nearby. The entrance is via the Waxology Clinic, through the archway with the number 14 on it, to the right of the wedding dress shop as you come from the car park. Our phlebotomist draws blood from your vein, or by capillary sampling if you prefer. Children aged 5 to 16 can be tested with a GP private referral letter (details here).
  4. Receive your results - Once your sample arrives at our lab it is processed promptly. In most cases your results arrive by email the very next day as a secure, password-protected PDF, although a few tests need additional processing. Your results also appear on the Health Dashboard, which tracks over 300 biomarkers and shows trends and patterns in your health data.

How much is a private blood test at Newcastle?

You pay the £35 clinic charge plus the price of the tests you choose. The charge covers the phlebotomist taking your sample for all your tests on the day. Prices are shown on each test page.

Can I get a blood test without going to my GP?

Yes. No GP referral is needed, and the tests are the same ones your GP orders. Choose the tests you want on our website, then book an appointment or drop in. The one exception is children aged 5 to 16, who need a GP private referral letter.

Can I test at home instead of visiting the clinic?

Yes. If a visit does not suit you, we offer home sample collection kits, which are UK MHRA approved. However tests labelled "venous only" need a sample taken from a vein at the clinic, and the clinic is the best option if you need urgent results.
