The Canary Wharf clinic offers an extensive range of blood tests, both routine and specialised, with over 300 biomarkers to choose from. A good place to start is the Essential All Systems Blood Test. It is a basic MOT covering 40 biomarkers, including a full blood count, kidney and liver function, electrolytes and CRP for inflammation.

If you have something specific in mind, you can choose by symptom or by a body function such as liver or kidney health. The Quick Finder is there if you are unsure. On that same note, your sample can be taken by venipuncture or by a capillary (finger-prick) method, based on your preference.

If you would rather plan ahead than walk in, booking is simple. Here are the steps.

  1. Choose a blood test - Pick a single biomarker or a comprehensive profile such as the Essential All Systems Blood Test. Choose by symptom or by body function, or use the Quick Finder if you are unsure.
  2. Choose a date and time - Book your slot at the Canary Wharf clinic online. The clinic is open Monday to Friday, 7.30 am to 3.30 pm. The £35 clinic charge covers the phlebotomist taking your sample for all your tests that day, and it is the same for walk-ins and pre-booked appointments.
  3. Come to Dockyard Lane - The clinic is at 56 Dockyard Lane, London, E14 9YX, inside Same Day Doctors (view map). It has disabled access. An experienced phlebotomist collects your sample by venipuncture or a capillary method, based on your preference. Children aged 5 to 16 can be tested with a GP private referral letter (details here).
  4. Receive your results - Your results arrive as a secure, password-protected PDF by email, typically the same day your sample reaches our lab or the next day. You can print them and discuss them with your GP or healthcare provider. If you subscribe, you also get automatic, unlimited access to the Health Dashboard, where you can track biomarkers, see results against reference ranges and spot trends over time.
