MENOPAUSE BLOOD TEST
The Menopause Blood Test is an effective tool for evaluating your status during the menopausal transition. This test primarily focuses on measuring key hormones: Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), Luteinising Hormone (LH), and Oestradiol (a form of oestrogen). These hormones are pivotal in understanding where you may stand in the menopausal spectrum, whether perimenopausal, during menopause, or postmenopausal.
The Menopause Test also includes an assessment of thyroid function. This is crucial, as thyroid imbalances can often present symptoms similar to those of menopause, such as mood fluctuations and temperature regulation issues.
It’s important to note that while blood tests offer valuable insights, they are part of a larger picture in diagnosing menopause. The complete assessment involves considering your symptoms, like changes in the menstrual cycle, hot flashes, and mood alterations, alongside your age and these hormone levels.
